Visit Us
Start your tour by visiting the Welcome Center and meeting with a knowledgeable house guide. We will take you to the Museum for the tour. Tours are informal. Be sure to ask questions! Afterwards, feel free to explore the gardens and grounds.
Total tour times are based upon your interests, but allow 45 minutes to fully experience the site.

We are open on the weekend by appointment only.
Closed major holidays.
We suggest calling ahead before visiting as staff schedules, weather, and other appointments could alter public hours.
Admission
Tours of the Craik - Patton House are free to the public.
Donations to support the museum are welcome!
Groups
Groups over 15 people should be scheduled in advance. An admission fee of $3 per person will be charged for any group more than 15 people.

School and home school groups are free. Please contact the Executive Director to schedule a group tour.
Parking
Parking is in the gravel circle in front of the museum. Additional parking is provided at the Boy Scouts of America located at the entrance of our gate.

The Craik-Patton House offers engaging, educational tours designed to bring 19th-century history to life for students of all ages. Our guided field trips align with West Virginia history and social studies standards and provide an up-close look at Charleston’s early days through architecture, artifacts, and storytelling.
