Become A Friend of Craik - Patton
We hope you will consider becoming a "Friend of Craik-Patton". Every year the Friends of Craik-Patton organization makes the success of the operation of the Craik-Patton House possible. This is our only community wide appeal for direct support to the operation of the House.
We stand on the shoulders of generations of pioneers, preservationists, benefactors, and history lovers, dedicated to the house built in 1834. The Craik - Patton House is a living museum open to school children and the general public for tours, holiday events, meetings, weddings, teas, historical re-enactments, as well as musical, literary, and artistic gatherings. .
In 2015, The Friends of Craik-Patton helped us raise close to ten thousand dollars, every dollar of which was used for maintenance and preservation. Your gifts also helped the Board keep a full-time House Director. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Please contact the Executive Director for more information about the friends organization.

The Craik-Patton House is seeking volunteers!
Docents: The Craik - Patton House is full of history and part of our commitment to the public is the quality tours and events we offer. The docent will give descriptions of each room in the museum in the context of the history of the house and in the context of American history. Not sure if you can remember all the detail? No Problem! We offer “Cheat Sheets” in each room to help out.
Collection‘s Committee: The museum seeks to fill the museum with period appropriate decorative arts. The Collections committee decides on the content of the museum and how we can fill our important mission. Interested in antiques? This is the committee for you!
Gardens and Grounds Committee: The grounds of the museum are very picturesque. We host many events in our gardens and our committee takes great pride in it’s natural beauty. The Gardens and Grounds committee is devoted to making sure the garden is in tip top shape! If you have a green thumb, this committee is for you!
For these and all of the volunteer opportunities available at the museum, please contact the Executive Director at 304-925-5341 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
